Auto Technology Instructor
Certifications
- Current Teaching Certificate in Auto Technology. Consideration will be given to an individual with five (5) years of current experience in Auto Technology, who is eligible for certification.
Starting Date: Immediate
Qualifications
- Must be ASE Certified in the following areas: Electronics/Electricity; Brakes; Steering and Suspension; Engines.
- Must possess interest in young people.
- Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of the SCCTC Auto Technology Program.
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of assigned students.
- Ability to monitor classroom/lab to check student work and behavior.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, peers, and employers.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students.
- Ability to make work site visits to monitor the student or confer with the employer as required.
- Ability to work cooperatively with program college partners.
- Possess basic computer skills.

Career Center Lab Technician (Part-time)
Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g. negative tuberculosis test, etc.)
- Documentation of a clear criminal record
- Comply with drug-free workplace rules and Board policies
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of career development process
- Ability to work with and provide instruction to middle school students utilizing the hands-on career exploration activities found in the Springfield-Clark CTC Mobile Career Center
- Organizational and scheduling skills and the ability to work with associate school administrators, guidance staff, and teachers
