Amy Schakat, SCCTC Assistant Director and Dean of I-TECH: The School of Information Technology, Education, Communication, and Hospitality is positioning students to succeed in postsecondary education as well as careers.
Our Business and IT students are afforded a learning environment utilizing state of the art technology with instruction provided by highly trained teachers. IT is an every changing world and CTC is dedicated to preparing students for the technology world of the 21st century. Students are also given the opportunity to develop leadership skills as part of the Business Professionals of America (BPA). Our IT and business programs are stepping stones to post-secondary education at several four year institutions, community colleges and art and design schools.
The Culinary, Education and Careers programs offer students the chance to learn real-world skills as they train in the field. Locations include such business partners as Wittenberg University, Springfield Regional Medical Center, and the Marriott.
Our I-TECH learning community also supports our culinary students in our award-winning Jaguar Room restaurant. Our restaurant is open to the public Tuesday through Friday when school is in session. Reservations can be made by calling 325-7368 x 169.
