School: HHS
Welcome to the HHS School Page
Rick Smith, Executive Director and Dean of HHS: I invite you to learn more about the Springfield-Clark CTC School of Health and Human Services.
Healthcare is one of the largest industry in the United States. Continuous medical advances combined with an aging population have created an increasing demand for healthcare and health science professionals. Career opportunities have never been better and will continue to grow for students interested in health sciences careers, healthcare administration programs, nursing degrees, public health and more.
A career in healthcare offers many rewards including making a difference in the lives of patients and populations, intellectual challenge and lifelong learning, excellent compensation and benefits, security, and the ability to work internationally.
No matter how poor the economy or the unemployment rate, people are always willing to spend money to look more beautiful, and there will always be a demand for professional cosmetologists, estheticians and beauty specialists.
The Cosmetology curriculum at the CTC covers many aspects of the $20 billion beauty industry, including hair, skin care, makeup, and nail technology and the job outlook upon graduation is excellent. Graduates can find jobs working in a dermatology clinic, spa, or beauty salon.
At Springfield-Clark CTC you'll learn how to provide care in the health and human services fields and use the latest technologies. You'll also develop critical thinking skills that will prepare you for your license and certificate examinations. If you would like to know more about training in the School of Health and Human Services, I urge you to visit our website where you can research our programs and contact us directly to request in-depth information.
