Residential homes. Retail centers. Commercial parks. We see new construction building up all around us, indicating that as a diversified whole, the construction industry is still rock solid. The SCCTC Construction Technologies sequence continues to evolve with new business practices and technology, helping our graduates to be well trained and prepared for challenging careers in the construction field. The diversified coursework gives students a strong foundation in construction-related specialties, including carpentry, electrical systems installation and repair, and heating and air technology.
Few phases of modern living are untouched by the heating and air conditioning industry. Skilled specialists are required to design, install, and maintain controlled environments in enclosed areas ranging from homes to space satellites. Become a heating and air conditioning professional and enjoy a successful career.
Students develop skills and work habits by working on projects daily inside and outside the heating and air conditioning lab. Students work on projects off campus, like the Project House, that are coordinated by the instructor. Job Shadowing, apprenticeships and mentoring programs are also offered in conjunction with this program.
Students may earn college credits at the University of Northwestern Ohio or Sinclair Community College by successfully completing the Heating & Air Technology Program. This program provides students with skills they can use to earn money while pursing advanced training.
