Computerized Learning and Student Success

In an academic initiative designed to help students learn and be more successful with today's technology, the Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center has implemented a Laptop Computer Program. Each full-time student will receive a laptop computer for their use during enrollment at SCCTC. There are only a few Ohio public schools that offer this program and SCCTC is one of them.

The laptop is available for the students to take with them to class and home to do their homework. It will contain software that will provide a tutorial for the Ohio Graduation Tests.

The SCCTC campus is a wireless zone where the students have controlled access to the internet for research.

If the student meets established guidelines in attendance, academics and behavior over the two years of enrollment, the laptop will be theirs to keep upon graduation.

If the student does not meet the guidelines, then they will have the option to purchase the computer at a minimal cost.
