Brad Moffitt benchmarks a nearly 40 year experience in Career Technical Education to entering the high school agriculture program at Graham High School in 1972. "The program, and especially the instructors, changed my life." From that point, Mr. Moffitt spent the 70's farming and raising cattle. He entered The Ohio State University in 1980 and worked through a dual major in Animal Science and Agricultural Education. After graduation, he became the Agricultural Education Instructor at Ridgedale High School in Marion County. In 1993, he accepted a position in Brown County at Ripley High School where he started a new program of high school agriculture and finished a Master's Degree at The University of Dayton. While completing post-master's studies, he became the high school principal at Ripley. He held that post until 2005 when he accepted a position at The Ohio Department of Education.
At ODE, he served as a Career Tech consultant and an area supervisor for the Ohio Ag Ed Services. On December 3, 2009, he began duties as the interim superintendent at SCCTC and was named superintendent in April 10, 2010. Mr. Moffitt considers this assignment an honor and states "during this tour of duty, I hope to help guide administrator, teacher, and support staff leadership through a process that focuses on our primary customer (students and families), creation of exemplary customer service experiences, and maximization of student performance."
